Too Much Stuff

picture from here.
After we packed up all our stuff and moved in with David's parents, we said to ourselves, PLEASE let us go through our stuff when we unpack it and see what we really need and see what we can give away. Yes, we will have more storage in our new home, but I find it funny that we had stuff in our crawlspace from the time we moved in to the time we moved out that we never layed eyes on. I don't even know what was in half of those boxes (sorry to the guys who had to move them to storage for us). So, I was excited when I came across Martha Stewart's 100 Reasons to Get Rid of It.
Here are a few highlights from the list:
#10 Swaporamarama.org Attend nationwide clothing exchanges and do-it-yourself alteration workshops. Unfortunately, I could not find one in Nashville. :(
#17. youthfortechnology.orgPut scanners, computers, and cameras in the hands of deserving, impoverished kids around the world.
#22. excessaccess.org
Match your household items with a local non-profit's wish list.
#26. www.operationfairydust.org
Send formal wear to teenage girls who need help getting to the prom.
#29. Suitcasesforkids.orgSupply children in foster care with luggage.
49. Recycline.com
Yogurt containers become colorful plates, flatware, toothbrushes, and razors.
#63. Titletrader.com
The great entertainment exchange: books, music, movies, and games, all swapped in one place

Jonas is 3 months (+)

We had Jonas' 3 month pictures taken yesterday (even though he is almost 4 months). They all turned out really well and thankfully he was his smiley self. Asher was the one who wouldn't cooperate as well for brother pictures (oh well). We had our pictures taken by Amanda from Shutterbelle Photography. You can view more pictures here.

The Green Wagon

A new eco-friendly general store, The Green Wagon, is now open in Sylvan Park. You can purchase everything from clothing, shampoo, cleaning supplies to even crib mattresses. The store offers a "refilling station" where you can bring in your used bottles and fill up on certain items at a discounted price. You can see what else is offered at the Green Wagon by going here. I can't wait to get back into town to check this place out. Has anyone been been here yet? What about Trader Joe's?

Pre-Christmas fun

Asher really enjoys food preparation. He always wants to see what is being cooked or baked in the kitchen and if he can help stir or pour, his day is complete. He was able to roll out, cut, and lift sugar cookies onto a cookie sheet with the help of Nana. He got to do this twice during the holiday season with both David's mom and my mom (both of which are his Nanas.)

I was given the job of icing and decorating the cookies. Can't wait for more oppurtunities to use my creativity in baking again. I hope to get back to decorating cakes again soon!

A sweet smile

Sorry this is such an outdated picture but I wanted to show a sweet picture of Jonas' smile. He can light up a room with his smile! This was one of our many shots to get the perfect Christmas card picture. This one did not make it because Asher wasn't looking at the camera.
